The PowerSurf Story
It started on a flat-water lake in the Netherlands on a windless summer afternoon. Two engineers β frustrated by the dependence of traditional surfing on ocean conditions and geography β asked a single question: why do you need waves to surf?
That question became an obsession. It led to three years of research, prototype failures, material testing, and thousands of kilometers of water testing across Europe. It led to the PowerSurf.
The founding vision was straightforward: build the world's most capable, most accessible motorized surfboard. Not a toy for thrill-seekers. Not a niche product for professionals. A precision-engineered watercraft that any person, anywhere in the world, could step onto and experience pure freedom on water.
That vision demanded an uncompromising approach. Nothing about PowerSurf was designed to be "good enough." Every component β from the carbon fiber hull to the titanium exhaust to the military-grade impeller β was selected to be the best available option for its purpose. The result is a board that weighs just 20.5 kilograms yet withstands the full force of high-speed water impact.
From the beginning, the goal was to make motorized surfing accessible to as wide an audience as possible. That's why PowerSurf is available in two models: the Beta (Standard) and the Alfa (Premium).
Both models share the same military-grade carbon fiber construction, the same hydrodynamic hull geometry, and the same 2-year manufacturer warranty. The difference lies in engine output and top speed. The Beta gives every rider the essential PowerSurf experience. The Alfa takes it further β for those who want maximum performance.
The first prototype was built in a workshop outside Amsterdam. It worked β just barely. Over the next two years, eighteen distinct prototype iterations were tested on lakes, rivers, and coastal waters across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France. Each iteration brought new insight.
The hydrodynamic mono-hull design was refined using computational fluid dynamics software. Engine placement was shifted forward by 4.5 centimeters β a change that transformed handling stability at high speed. The safety killswitch system was added after prototype testing revealed that wipeouts at speed required an instantaneous engine cut. The final design went through six months of endurance testing before production approval was granted.
What drives the PowerSurf team is not a commercial calculation. It's a genuine, deep love of water and speed. Every person involved in building this board β from the engineers who designed the hull to the technicians who assemble each unit β has ridden the PowerSurf.
That lived experience is what makes the difference. When you ride a PowerSurf, you're not riding a product built by people who calculated its specifications from a desk. You're riding a board built by people who couldn't sleep until it was right.
PowerSurf is available across Europe through Bataviastore.com, operating from Staphorst, Netherlands. Free shipping is provided throughout the European Union, with delivery typically completed within approximately 14 days.
Every board ships with a comprehensive user manual, safety equipment checklist, and full 2-year manufacturer warranty. Customer support is available via email and telephone.
The PowerSurf you can order today is the beginning. The team is working on next-generation developments: enhanced engine configurations, extended fuel capacity systems, and a modular accessory platform. The long-term goal is a global community of riders who understand that speed and freedom on the water should not be reserved for those with access to ocean waves. This is only the beginning.
